Description

The golden neck ring from the "Prince's Tomb" is hollow and consists of two parts, the smooth neck part and the elaborately decorated breast part. It could be opened, put on and closed by the wearer himself. The artistically outstanding chest piece consists of numerous combined figurative and floral elements. The neck ring shows no signs of wear, so it is questionable whether it was worn during the prince's lifetime or whether it was made specifically as a burial gift. It is noteworthy that a similar neck ring is depicted on the sandstone statue of the Celtic prince.
