The bronze statue represents Jupiter, the ruler of the gods in Roman Olympus. Jupiter stands naked on his right leg and has his left leg loosely placed to the side. The left arm is raised; he originally held a long scepter in his hand as a sign of his sovereign power.

Gemstone ring with a bird

The gold ring has an onyx gemstone in a simple setting. The stone, which is built up in two layers of different colors, is worked as a Nicolo, meaning the upper light layer is oval and ground so thin that the lower, dark layer shimmers through and makes the image zone appear light blue.

Finger ring with Leda and the swan

The circlet of the finger ring consists of three wires placed next to each other, the middle one is decorated with a row of pearls. The ends of the two outer wires are shaped like snake heads. The oval plate is embossed with a depiction of the Spartan queen Leda with the swan.

The wall painting is remnants of the interior decoration in an officer's apartment in the Echzell Limes fort. The painting imitates marble cladding up to half the height of the wall. There are columns on this that support the vaulted ceiling of the room.

Owner's mark

The inscription identifies the sheet as the owner's mark, which the soldier Dasius Masurus used to mark one of his pieces of equipment. The mention of the emperor could mean that Commodus (180-192 AD) gave the object in question to Dasius.
